Operation
1. Operating Hazards
To prevent damage to the tool and
accessory, accessory must be held
firmly against work surface before
the tool is throttled
Always shut off air supply, relieve
hose of air pressure and disconnect
tool from air supply when changing
accessories.
Avoid direct contact with accessory
and work surface during and after
work as they become heated and
sharp.
Wear gloves to protect hands.
Operators and maintenance personnel
must be physically able to handle the
bulk, weight and power
of the tool.
Holding the accessory by hand can be
a source of vibration exposure or
possible injury.
2. Operate tool with 90 PSI of clean,
dry air. Higher pressures drastically
reduce tool life. Connect tool to air
line using pipe, hose and fitting sizes
shown in Installation.
3. Air Supply and Connection
Hazards.
Pressurized air can cause severe injury.
Always shut off air supply, drain hose
of air pressure and disconnect tool
from air supply when not in use and
before changing accessories or when
making repairs.

Chisel Scaler
Never direct air at yourself or others.
Whipping hoses can cause serious
injury. Prior to use, always check for
damaged or loose hoses and fittings.
Do not use quick disconnect Couplings
at tool. See Installation for correct
connections.
Whenever universal twist couplings
are used, lock pins must be installed.
4. Chipping Hammer -
Chisel Replacement
Unlock the Bent Chisel (50) by pressing
the Driver Retainer (38). Then lock a
new chisel into the scaler by pressing
down on the Driver Retainer (38). Be
sure the chisel is completely inserted
and locked into position by the Driver
Retainer (38).
Maintenance
Lubrication
Use an air line lubricator with Mobil
Almo 525 air tool oil (model 4ZF22)
adjusted to two drops per minute. If an
air line lubricator cannot be used, add air
motor oil to the inlet once a day. Never
use synthetic oils for air line lubrication
because of possible damage to seals,
o-rings, hose, rotor, blades and
polycarbonate oiler/filter bowls.
