Mechanical installation
DANGER – Incorrect installation of columns
Risk of (fatal) injury due to the vehicle falling
or tipping up during lifting, when working on
the vehicle and on lowering.
¶
Erection is only to be performed by Bosch
customer service or authorized service agents
on the basis of these installation instructions.
¶
Maintain safety clearances in front of, behind
and to the sides of the lifting platform.
¶
Pay attention to the specifications of the
connector manufacturer when erecting the
lifting platform. Ensure careful and safe
installation of the lifting platform.
¶
Perform a trial run with the maximum
permissible vehicle weight.
!
Installation is only to be performed if all the
prerequisites are satisfied and the scope of delivery
is complete.
1. Check the erection position and the positioning of
the columns.
!
Make sure the motor and spindle axes are parallel
when erecting the lifting platform.
i
In addition to the dimensions given below, a safety
clearance of at least 0.5 m must be maintained in front
of and behind the vehicle as well as to the sides of the
lifting platform. The exact positioning of the columns is
to be determined in consultation with the user.

2. Perform a trial drilling to assess the depth and
properties of the foundation (check of foundation
and concrete quality) (refer to Section 3).
3. Connect the base panels as specified by the
connector manufacturer.
!
The base panels must make full surface contact.
i
Shear connectors are not included in the scope of
delivery. 12x M16 shear connectors are required
(refer to Section 3.4). Use can also be made of other
makes insofar as these are officially approved for
concrete and their properties meet the minimum
requirements indicated in Section 3.1.
4. Erect the lifting columns perpendicularly.
!
The erected columns should never be inwardly
inclined. A slight outward inclination of the columns
(up to 10 mm) is advisable.
i
Additional equalizing elements may be required
between the floor and lifting column base plate.
5. Fit the cable suspension device.
6. Route the secondary column connecting cables
through the suspension device to the main column.
7. Thoroughly grease the mounting pins for the support
arms.
8. After engaging the support arms, check that the
locking element engages in the splines on the
support arm.
9. Lubricate lifting spindle with multi-purpose grease.
10. Fit the tensioning strap.
There must be sufficient clearance between the
guide fittings for the tensioning strap and the
columns to ensure that the tensioning strap cannot
become trapped and be damaged.
"
This completes mechanical installation.
4.2
Securing support arms to prevent
unintentional disengagement
Secure the outer bearings with safety hexagon bolts
on the mounting pins such that there is still a gap of
between 1 and 2 mm between the outer bearing and
the bolt head.
!
The full locking effect of the self-locking bolts is only
attained after 24 hours.
