Water spray feature
Use the water spray feature to dampen hard-to-iron fabrics, remove stubborn wrinkles, and to
iron difficult areas such as collars, etc. Press the water spray button
•
slowly and smoothly for a dense spray
•
quickly for vaporized spray
The feature can be used as often as required from any temperature mode, as long as there
is enough water in the water tank.
Auto shut-off feature
The auto shut-off feature ensures safety and reduces energy consumption. The iron auto-
matically shuts off when left unattended:
•
after 30 seconds of inactivity in horizontal position or on its side (tipped over)
•
after 8 minutes of inactivity in vertical position
After the auto shut-off occurs the soleplate stops heating, audible signal is heard, the auto shut-off
indicator on the handle starts flashing. To continue ironing take the iron by the handle. The auto
shut-off indicator will stop flashing, the heating indicator will light up. Once the soleplate reaches
the required temperature the heating indicator will go out, indicating that the iron is ready to use.
Anti-drip feature
The anti-drip feature prevents water from dripping onto fabric and enables to iron even the
most delicate garments. Use low temperature setting (• position) to iron delicate fabrics.
After each use
Turn the temperature control dial into "Min" position and the steam output control dial into
position. Unplug the iron from electrical outlet. Open the water tank cap and gently shake
the iron above the sink to empty the tank. Place the iron into a vertical position.
Wait for the soleplate to cool down thoroughly. Wind the cord around the heel of the iron.
Store in vertical position.

III. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Self-clean feature
To remove scale and other debris from the steam holes on the soleplate carry out the self-
cleaning procedure at least twice a month. The harder the water the more frequently the
iron should be self-cleaned.
1. Fill the water tank with water until the "Max" fill line.
2. Disable the steam feature (turn the steam output control dial into
the temperature control dial into "Max" position. Plug in the iron.
3. After the heating indicator goes out unplug the iron and position it horizontally above
the sink.
4. Press and hold down the "Calc Clean" button, swinging the iron lightly back and forth.
Steam and hot water releasing from the soleplate will remove scale and other debris.
5. By the end of the self-cleaning procedure open and empty the water tank. Close the cap.
6. Wait for the soleplate to cool down thoroughly and wipe with damp cloth.
7. Repeat the procedure if necessary.
NOTE! Use tap water to carry out the self-cleaning procedure. Do not fill the water tank with
distilled (demineralized), softened, or boiled water for best results.
To clean soleplate
Before cleaning the soleplate ensure that the iron is unplugged and cooled down thor-
oughly. Cool soleplate can be wiped with damp cloth or sponge. Do not use abrasive
cleaners, aggressive chemicals, and abrasive or metal sponges.
Iron storage
The appliance must be stored in a dry location away from direct sunlight or heating appli-
ances. Store the iron in vertical position to avoid damage to the soleplate. To keep the
soleplate in good condition do not allow it to come into contact with metal and other hard
or sharp objects.
Always store the iron empty to prevent the lime scale build-up that may stain fabric during
ironing.
Ironing recommendations
Do not use spray on silk to avoid water
marks
