Lower exhaust by removing (3) rubber isolators, one behind rear axle. Be careful not to allow mufflers to fall under their own weight. Note:
Spraying a lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and the rubber isolator helps removal.

Remove exhaust hanger bracket on each side. Return fasteners to owner. Modify driver side exhaust bracket as shown in Figure 2.

Feed 7/16 (item 1 & 2) spacers and carriage bolts into position using the pull wires provided (both rail). Leave pull wire attached. See
Figure 3.
4.
Feed 1/2 carriage bolt and spacer (Item 8 & 9) using the reverse pull wire procedure on driver's side. Leave pull wire attached. See Figure 4.
5.
Raise hitch into position, over the exhaust and align with carriage bolts Feed pull wires thru adjacent holes in the hitch, remove pull wires
and attach conical washers and nuts, finger tight only (Be careful not to push fastener back into frame rail).
6.
Reattach exhaust hanger brackets as shown in Figure 1 using fasteners provided with hitch.
7.
Tighten all fasteners to the required torque specification.
8.
Raise exhaust back into position and reattach to rubber isolators.
Tighten all M8 CL9.8 fasteners with torque wrench to 25 Lb.-Ft. (34 N*M). Tighten all M12 CL10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 80 Lb.-Ft. (108 N*M).
Tighten all 7/16-14 Gr5 fasteners with torque wrench to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M). Tighten all ½-13 Gr5 fasteners with torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.
