IMPORTANT NOTE! The bumper cover requires trimming to install hitch. Consult with vehicle owner before proceeding with install.
1.
Remove bumper cover (Fascia) by removing (1) screw from behind rear tire at bottom of fascia, both sides
2.
Next, remove (1) screw hidden behind inner wheel well at the top of the fascia. Remove the plastic clip by pulling center out
with a flat screw driver, both sides.
3.
Open trunk lid and remove small round plastic panel located between tail light and trunk opening. Remove the screw, both
sides.
4.
Remove center (4) push fasteners from the rear underside of the fascia, using a flat screw driver.
5.
Carefully remove bumper cover, starting with the sides first. Use a plastic body panel tool to separate the plastic fascia along
the seam. Note: Unplug back-up sensor wiring. (continued page 2)
Tighten all M8-1.25 CL10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 25Lb.-Ft. (34 N*M)
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

and SAE J684.
