Assembly instructions
Straight and side entry coax connectors.
1. Prepare cable as shown in Figure 2.
Coaxial cable
Suitable for 50ohm - RG174 and RG178
Prepare as follows:-
Cable stripping (Fig 2.)
Straight connector
Side entry connector
2. Locate crimp ferrule on prepared cable and insert cable as far as it
will go ensuring that the braid fits evenly over the connector flange.
3. Solder centre conductor to the centre contact (solder bucket
termination).
4. Push crimp ferrule over braid as far as it will go.
5. Place ferrule against shoulder of coax connector and terminate on
the cable side using crimp tool RS stock no.470-099 or tool RS stock
no. 848-391.
6. For side entry connector, fit insulator and blanking plug.
