insTALLATion of fiLTer/reguLATor
1. Maximum air pressure to unit is 140 PSIG (9.7 BAR).
2. Mount the unit as close to the item to be protected as possible.
3. Direction of air flow is designated by an " " and " " on the
primary unit.
4. Position the water discharge valve (#12) with the " " pointing
upward.
5. Proper water drainage should be allowed beneath the water
discharge valve (#12). Provide a container to catch the water
drainage or attach a rubber hose to channel the water away from
walk area to avoid creating a hazardous walking area.
6. Install Dial Gauge (#52) by screwing brass fitting on back of
Gauge clockwise into the threaded hole provided in front of the
primary unit, just above the regulator adjustment knob (#27).
reguLATion of Air pressure
1. Unlock adjusting knob (#27) by pulling down gently, then turn
the knob clockwise to increase air pressure and counterclockwise
to decrease air pressure.
2. After setting the desired air pressure, push up on the
adjustment knob (#27) until the knob clicks back into the lock
position. At this point, the adjustment knob should not turn in
either direction.
3. Do not exceed any pressure rating of any component in the
system.
drAinAge
1. Note that when there is no air pressure supplied to the unit,
any water in the unit will automatically discharge.
2. When air pressure is supplied to the unit, water may be
discharged by turning the water discharge valve (#12) until the
" " is pointed down. NOTE: When the water level exceeds the
maximum level as noted on the shatterguard. (#3), drain the water
so that optimal dehumidification can be maintained.
MAinTenAnce
1. Before performing any maintenance on this unit, shut off the
air supply to the unit and completely discharge all air until no air
pressure exists in the unit. Avoid breathing any discharged air
directly.
WARNING: A PRESSURIZED STREAM OF AIR
CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY!
2. Unscrew shatterguard (#3) counterclockwise and remove.
Then, unscrew the bowl baffle (#6) counterclockwise and remove,
being careful not to lose the intercepter (#8). The filter (#7) may
then be removed and rinsed of any debris. The filter may be
reinstalled for repeated use.
3. Clean the transparent bowl (#2) with a clean, dry cloth. Do not
use any chemical that might damage the bowl material. Upon
AL24
AL24 FILTER, LUBRICATOR AND REGULATOR UNIT
reassembly, be sure bowl baffle (#6) and shatterguard (#3) are
securely tightened.
WARNING!
Pressure systems can leak causing flying particles.
Wear safety goggles. (User and bystanders).
Read and follow instructions.
Flying particles can cause injury.
Compressor systems contain air under pressure that can create
a high pressure stream.
Relieve pressure before servicing.
A pressurized air stream can cause injury.
insTALLATion of LuBricATor
1. Ensure that the Filter/Regulator installation is complete
BEFORE installing the Lubricator.
2. Use ISO-VG32 or similar lubricant.
3. Add lubricant into the oil bowl (#34) through the fill plug (#40)
opening. Unscrew the fill plug by turning counterclockwise.
Do not fill past "Max Oil Level" line indicated on the outside of
shatterguard. After filling the oil bowl, replace the oil fill plug
securely.
4. During operation, air flow does not have to be shut off to add
lubricant. Lubricant can be added any time by using the oil fill plug
as noted above.
WARNING: NEVER REMOVE THE BOWL TO ADD
LUBRICANT. ALWAYS USE FILL PLUG OPENING.
reguLATing oiL drop
1. To regulate the amount of oil dropped during air flow,
use adjusting screw (#27) on top of Lubricator. Turn screw
counterclockwise for more oil and clockwise for less oil. NOTE:
After setting the desired oil drop using the adjusting screw, be
aware that as air flow is regulated up or down, the oil drop will
be changed also. More air flow will increase oil drop and less air
flow will decrease oil drop.
WARNING: A PRESSURIZED STREAM OF AIR
CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY!
2. Unscrew shatterguard counterclockwise and remove, being
careful not to lose the O-Ring (#5).
3. Clean the transparent bowl (#34) with a clean, dry cloth. Do not
use any chemical that might damage the bowl material. When
reassembling, be sure the O-ring is in the proper position and the
shatterguard is securely tightened.
