LED Light Strip
with Remote Control
Please read these operating instructions carefully
prior to operation and keep them for later refer-
ence.
1 Applications
This 5 m light strip with 270 LEDs is used for deco-
rative lighting. The remote control allows to select
various control programmes, e. g. running light,
change of colour, constant lighting in one colour.
2 Important Notes
The components of the LED set (controller, remote
control and LED light strip) correspond to all rele-
vant directives of the EU (marking
G
The LED set is suitable for indoor use only. Pro-
tect it against dripping water and splash water,
high air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient
temperature range 0 – 40 °C). However, the light
strip is protected against humidity (IP 65) and
therefore also suitable for damp locations.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
chemicals or water. However, you may use a
damp cloth to clean the light strip.
G
No guarantee claims for individual components
of the LED set and no liability for any resulting
personal damage or material damage will be
accepted if the LED set is used for other pur-
poses than originally intended, if it is not cor-
rectly connected or operated, or not repaired in
an expert way.
If the LED set is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.

3 Mounting and Connection
1) Attach the LED light strip (7) to the desired place
by means of the self-adhesive foil on the rear
side or with the supplied brackets.
2) Connect the plug (4) of the controller (2) via two
adapter plugs (5) to the plug (6) of the LED strip.
The arrow of the controller plug must point to the
positive sign of the plug of the light strip (see
arrows a and b in the figure below). Otherwise
the LEDs will not light up.
3) The controller can be fixed to a suitable place
with two screws.
4) Fix the infrared sensor (3) with adhesive tape so
that it is capable of receiving control signals
from the remote control without obstacles.
5) For power supply a regulated 12 V power supply
unit with a current rating of 1.8 A is required as a
).
minimum (e. g. PSS-3000E from MONACOR).
Connect the power supply unit via a low voltage
plug with the dimensions 5.5 / 2.1 mm (outside /
inside diameter) to the jack (1) of the controller.
Make sure that the positive pole is at the inside
contact of the plug. After applying the operating
voltage, the LEDs shortly light up and then
according to the adjustment of the last opera-
tion.

4 Operation
4.1 Remote control
1) The remote control is supplied with a battery
inserted. An insulating foil between the battery
and the battery contacts prevents the battery
from being discharged during storage. Prior to
the first operation, remove the foil from the bat-
tery support on the rear side of the remote con-
trol. Otherwise operation of the remote control is
not possible.
2) When actuating a button, always hold the
remote control in the direction of the sensor (3).
There must be visual connection between the
remote control and the sensor.
3) If the range of the remote control decreases
(7 to 10 m), replace the battery. For this pur-
pose, on the rear side of the remote control,
push the small bar with the groove to the right
and at the same time remove the battery sup-
port.
A 3 V button cell of type CR 2025 is required.
When inserting, pay attention that the positive
pole of the button cell shows upwards in the
support.
period, remove the battery to prevent damage to
the remote control due to battery leakage.
