Water filter:
To prevent pump and nozzles for clogging, a special fine water filter is part of the
delivered set. The filter is cleaning the water before reaching the pump. This al-
lows you, for example in a paludarium to pump the water directly out of the wa-
ter compartment and, in this case closed circuit. The fine filter is simply plugged
into the end of the suction hose and should be regularly cleaned or replaced.
Installation & operating
Placement:
Place the pump case at a suitable spot outside the terrarium with a safe distance
to water. Pay attention to the maximum delivery height of around 1,5 m (dispen-
se from the extension state of mist system).
Caution: The pump seals automatically even if it is not running, it should not be
at the same level or below the water tank, otherwise there is a risk the water
tanks runs empty and/or the water continually drips from the nozzle an can flood
the terrarium.
Safty advice: Build a loop with the power cord, which is below the level of the
wall socket. So no water can get into the wall power socket if the pump leaking
in extreme cases.
Connecting hoses:
Generally: Unscrew the nut and thread them through the hose. Push the hose
into opening of the nozzle or the Universal-T-bulkhead. Make sure the hose is
inserted properly. Screw the nut tight. This will squeeze the hose firmly into the
receiving opening. When cutting the tubes pay attention that it' s a straight cutting
edge. Sluggish hoses can be smoothed by using some drops of water.
Connect the nozzles on to the tube labeled with „OUT". Push the hose about 3
cm into the opening. Than fix the connections by using the lock nut as indicated
above. At the terminal end of the intake hose screw in the water filter. Place the
suction hose with fine filter in an external water tank or in the water reservoir
of the terrarium. Note that the maximum difference in height between pump and
water container must be below 1,5m, because the suction flow will drop rapidly
with increasing elevation.
If the pump does not intake the water, you either have too much air in the system
or the height difference is too big. Try in that case just a single nozzle with short
hose. If than the pump sucking water properly it should work as well with more
nozzles, because there is less air in the system.
Spray nozzle mounting:
Together with the Super Rain Nano two nozzles with Universal-T-bulkhead con-
nector will supplied. So the entire installation can be placed outside the terrari-
um. For each bulkhead connector a 11,5 mm hole will be needed (e.g. perforated
sheet). Run the Universal-T-bulkhead through the hole (T upwards) and screw this
on from both sides. Now place the nozzle from below and tighten them with the
union nut. Press the nozzle a little deeper into the bulkhead before tightening
up the union nut completely.
Then connect the Universal-T-bulkheads to the hoses. The fitting for the OUT
hose takes place on the first Universal-T-bulkhead. To connect both Universal –T-
bulkheads you have to cut off a piece of the hose in recommended length which
is connected to the housing of the pump (hose is available as separate spare
part). Close the last bulkhead with a plug.
Make sure that the tube is not damaged, bent, the cut edges are straight and
that all connections are water tight. Point the nozzles into the desired direction
but make sure that the mist cannot reach electric devices like lamps or sockets.
Fixing the tubes use the suction cups with clamps. There you can simply click
in the hose.
Tip: With the additional available accessories numberless individual installation
solutions are possible. Note the availability of spare parts and accessories.

Initial operation

To start the Super Rain Nano just plug in the device to the power socket. Please
keep in mind that the misting system ist not designed for continuous operati-
on. Use appropriate controllers like timers, interval or humidity controllers (e.g.
Lucky Reptile Humidity Control, PRO Timer or Easy Timer) to ensure a smooth
operation.
Water:
We advise against the use of hard water. Use distilled water, osmosis water or
rain water.
