4. Install the Showerhead
Install a 1/2" pipe nipple to extend beyond the finished wall.
Installation for the K-9511 should extend 1" (2.5 cm) and
installations for the K-9512 should extend 3-3/4" (9.5 cm) beyond
the finished wall.
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the back of
the escutcheon according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Assemble the O-ring and escutcheon to the shower arm, and
thread the shower arm to the pipe nipple.
Use a clean strap wrench to securely tighten the shower arm.
Press the escutcheon tight against the wall.
Remove any excess plumbers putty.
Run hot and cold water through the shower arm to flush out dirt
and debris.
Apply thread sealant to the shower arm adapter.
Thread the showerhead to the shower arm.
Use a clean strap wrench to tighten the showerhead.
Check for proper operation.
