Installation
Remove Existing Mounting Base
If the IP phone is installed on a mounting base, remove the base.
• Turn the IP Phone over.
• Disconnect the handset cord.
• Press the two plastic clips on both sides of the mounting base and remove
the base from the IP Phone.
Connect the Cables to the IP Phone
Connect the LAN cable into the LAN port on the back of the phone. Connect
the other end of the LAN cable to a LAN jack. See Figure
Connect the short CAT 5 LAN cable to the PC port on the back of the phone.
After you attach the IP Phone to the stand, you will connect the other end of
this cable to the LAN port on the rear panel of the stand.
Connect the handset to the back of the phone.
Connect the headset (optional) to the back of the phone.
NOTE: Some IP phones require an AC power adapter. Other IP Phone models
obtain power from the LAN. If Power Over LAN is available, it shall be
compliant with IEEE 802.3.af.
Attach the IP Phone to the Stand (See Figure
Turn the phone so that the front faces away from you.
Hold the stand so that the lower hooks on the front of the stand are towards
the bottom edge of the phone.
Hinge the hooks on the stand into the lower notches on the back of the
phone and snap into place.

Connect Cables to Stand
• Connect the short CAT 5 LAN cable to the LAN port. See
• Connect the power supply adapter cable to the power input jack. See

• Plug the C7 connector on the power extension cord into the power supply adapter.
Plug the other end of the extension cord into a wall outlet. Ensure the power LED on
the IP DECT stand turns green.
Install Handset Batteries
• Release the battery cover at the bottom of the back panel and remove.

• Insert the Li Polymer cell battery in the handset as shown below:

• Replace the back panel and slide shut.
Set Up Handset Charger
• Connect the appropriate power adapter to the handset charging cradle.
• Plug C7 cord into power adapter.
• Plug the other end of the C7 cord into a wall outlet.
• Place the handset in the charger. When you place the first handset in the charger, the
handset automatically registers with the IP DECT Stand. After the first handset is
registered, there is a 5 minute period during which you can register addtional
handsets. To register additional handsets after the 5 minute period has expired, you
must press the Reset button on the stand to start a new 5 minute registration period.

• Ensure the power LED turns green.
• Charge the battery. We recommend that you charge the battery fully before first use. It
takes approximately 10 hours to fully charge the battery. Normally, it takes
approximately 6 hours to charge the battery.
