3. Installation / Operation
The high performance compressed air filter has a
standard distributor (D) for the connection of three
blasting units. The connection to the compressed air
net should be made with the hose and nipple connec-
tion (F) on the filter. The air flows in the direction of
the throughput direction arrows visible on the casing.
Use only within the allowed operational lim-
its (see technical data)!
Mount unit in a protected yet easily accessible lo-
cation. Avoid mechanical loading of input lines and
screw fittings.
Install the unit in the vicinity of the units to be provid-
ed with the compressed air.
The waste condensation will automatically escape
upon start-up.

too low.
6. Cleaning / Maintenance
Maintenance of the high performance compressed
air filter should be carried out at least once a year.
Unusually arduous operational conditions can shorten
this recommended maintenance interval. Wear and
tear of the active carbon is realized by a discolouring
(from black to reddish).
Before starting maintenance, disconnect the
high performance filter from the pressure
system and ventilate completely.
To facilitate maintenance, the filter can be removed
from the installation system. To do so, unscrew the
clamping ring (C) and remove the filter toward the
bottom from the assembly frame (E). Unscrew the
filter container (G) by turning clockwise and remove
along with the O-ring (K). Now both filter elements
(H + J) can be unscrewed.
Unscrew the transparent filter container (A) by turning
counter-clockwise and loosen the active coal filter (B)
along with the O-ring (L).
The air flow resistance of the filter element increases
according to the amount of dust particles retained.
The filter elements must be replaced if they are dirty
or damaged. Cleaning of the elements is not possi-
ble. Check parts for damage, foreign particles and
impurities and reassemble in reversed order. Make
sure that the clamping ring (C) is properly placed onto
the assembly frame and that the throughput direction
arrows on the unit and mounting frame point in the
same direction. During reassembling, lightly oil all the
O-rings.
7. Spare Parts
You can find components subject to wear and the
spare parts on the spare part list in the internet at
www.renfert.com/p918.
The components excluded from the warranty (such
as consumables or parts subject to wear and tear)
are marked on the spare part list.
8. Guarantee
Renfert extends a 3 year guarantee on all parts
of the high performance filter. Excluded from this
guarantee are parts that are subject to normal wear
and tear (filter inserts: pre-filter, fine filter and active
coal filter). The guarantee is null and void if claimed
damage or defect is the result of improper use, ne-
glect of the operational, cleaning, maintenance and
connection regulations, of self-performed repairs or of
repairs performed by unauthorized personnel, of use
of spare parts from other suppliers or of un-usual or
improper influences as determined by the regulations
for use. Repairs effected under guarantee do not
extend the guarantee period.
