JBL UV Spot plus
Provides UV + heat + daylight for all terrariums
· Ensures healthy and active reptiles by an effective supply of vital
UV-A light and UV-B light.
· UV light is needed for the production of Vitamin D
precursors ingested with food. This ensures a controlled natural
supply of Vitamin D
· Produces heat and light at the same time. Reptiles associate light
with heat and therefore actively seek out this light source to
sunbathe. This way, they obtain the UV-A and UV-B radiation vital
for their health in a natural manner.
· Fits any E27 light socket. Special heat-resistant fittings such as JBL
TempSet must be used due to the heat produced.
· Does not produce any harmful UV-C radiation.
· Self-starting without control gear.
· With integrated thermal protection against overheating.
Application:
JBL UV Spot plus should always be positioned in such a way that the
reptiles have the opportunity to retreat to cooler sections of the ter-
rarium at any time. There should be a minimum distance of approx. 30
- 40 cm from the reptiles. When this lamp is used for the first time, the
reptiles will need to get accustomed to the radiation. We recommend
beginning with 30 minutes of radiation a day and gradually increas-
ing the radiation over a period of 2 – 3 weeks to up to 3 hours a day,
depending on the animal species. If required, the spotlight can also be
