Step 1
Check pipe diameter to insure that correct saddle is being installed.
Step 2
Where saddle is to be installed, thoroughly clean the pipe so that the sur-
face is smooth and free of dirt and other debris.
Step 3
Check gasket for proper positioning in saddle body.
Step 4
Mount saddle body on pipe. (See fi gure 1)

Install saddle straps, nuts, and washers. (See fi gure 2)
The saddle may be rotated to align the outlet to fi nal position. Be sure the
gasket does not roll out of the groove when saddle is rotated.
Step 6
Tighten nuts fi nger tight. (See fi gure 3)
Step 7
Torque nuts suffi ciently to form seal of gasket (Caution: Bolt length "A"
and "B" must be kept equal). Recheck nut tightness and torque as evenly
as possible. (See fi gure 4)

Recommended torque: 50 - 60 ft. lbs.
Step 8
Make connection to saddle boss, careful not to cross-thread.
Note: Use of this product on plastic pipe is limited to:
1. 6.63-12.75 Steel O.D. PVC pipe with a minimum standard dimension
ratio of 26.
2. 6.90-13.20 Cast Iron O.D. C-900 PVC pipe Class 150 rating or better.
Do not use on fi berglass reinforced plastic pipe, plastic irrigation pipe or
plastic pipe other than sizes and types mentioned above.
