For the HP LaserJet 4200/4300 series,
two optional 500-sheet feeders (callout 1), or
one optional 500-sheet feeder and one
optional 1,500 sheet feeder (callout 2) can
be installed.
For the HP LaserJet 4250/4350 series, three
optional 500-sheet feeders (callout 3), or two
optional 500-sheet feeders and one optional
1,500 sheet feeder (callout 4) can be installed.
HP recommends that the printer be installed
on an optional printer stand when all possible
trays are installed. To order the optional
printer stand (Q2445B), go to
www.hp.com
or see the use guide on the CD-ROM that
came with the printer.
On the paper tray, pinch the release on the
left guide and slide the guides to the correct
paper size.

sheet feeder is installed as tray 5, open the
feeder tray, remove the tray-number-
indicator block (callout 1), turn it around
(callout 2), and reinstall it so that the number
5 will show through the slot in the tray
(callout 3). If the feeder is any other tray,
proceed to the next step.
Push the release on the rear paper guide
and position it to the correct paper size.

Move the tray-lock lever (located along the
top-left side of the tray) into the locked
position of each installed tray.
On the right side of the paper tray, turn the
knob to "STANDARD" for LTR, A4, LGL,
EXEC, A5, and JIS B5 paper sizes, or to
"CUSTOM" for custom paper sizes.
