Quick Start Guide
9 IN 1 PROGRAMMABLE PRESSURE COOKER
Improper use of the pressure cooker may result in serious injury.
Read the safety instructions in the user manual before starting.
Step 1: Unpacking and checking
− Unpack the pressure cooker and make sure all parts are included (see the user manual for the package contents). If the pressure cooker or any individual parts
are damaged, do not use the pressure cooker and contact the manufacturer via the service address indicated on the warranty card.
Step 2: Familiarizing yourself with the pressure cooker
It is important to know these parts for safe cooking:
− Pressure regulator: It seals the lid for pressure cooking and releases pressure before safe opening of the lid. The regulator can be set to "AIRTIGHT" or
"EXHAUST" position (see Fig. A, F and G).
− Float valve: It checks the pressure inside the pressure cooker. When the required pressure inside the pot has been reached, the float valve will pop up and lock
the lid until the pressure is released (see Fig. A).
− Lid: It must be properly closed or opened for cooking. Look for the triangular lid positioning marker on the lid and the "OPEN" and "CLOSE" positions on the
main unit (see Fig. A).
Step 3: Preparing for use
1. Install the condensation collector onto the side of the base unit (see Fig. B).
2. Connect the power cord to the pressure cooker and a wall outlet (see Fig. B).
3. Press and hold the lid button and rotate the lid so that the lid positioning marker aligns with the "OPEN" mark on the base unit. Then lift the lid open (see Fig. C).
DO NOT fill more than 2/3 of the pot capacity.
4. Add ingredients into the pot.
5. Replace the lid and rotate it so that the lid positioning marker aligns with the "CLOSE" mark on the base unit (see Fig. D).
6. Turn the pressure regulator to the "AIRTIGHT" position (see Fig. F).
7. Select your cooking mode by pressing one of the cooking mode buttons and adjust the cooking time by pressing the + or – button (see Fig. E). Cooking will start
after three beep sounds are heard.
Step 4: Letting it cook
− It will take several minutes to reach the required pressure inside the pot. The pressure cooker will only start to count down the programmed cooking time
when the pre-heating is done. During pressure cooking, the float valve will pop up to lock the lid.
− To cancel cooking at any time during cooking, press the CANCEL button (see Fig. E).
Step 5: Opening the lid when cooking is done
Before opening the lid, release the pressure inside the pot with one of the methods below.
− Natural release: Wait and allow the pressure cooker to naturally cool down and the pressure inside the pot to release on its own. This method is
recommended for dishes with large amount of liquid (e.g. soup).
− Quick release: Use a tool or protect your hands with oven mitts to turn the pressure regulator to the "EXHAUST" position (see Fig. G).
given off vertically from the center of the pressure regulator. Always protect yourself from burn hazard.
When the float valve has dropped back to its original (down) position and there is no longer steam emitting, press and hold the lid button and rotate the lid so that
the lid positioning marker aligns with the "OPEN" mark on the base unit. Then lift the lid open (see Fig. C).
Read the user manual for full operation, cleaning and maintenance instructions.
