5-year LIMITED WARRANTY
Mad Catz warrants this product to be free from defects in materi-
als and workmanship for the warranty period. This non-transfer-
able, fi ve(5) year limited warranty is only to you, the fi rst end-user
purchaser. If a defect covered by this warranty occurs AND you have
registered your product with Mad Catz AND you provide proof of
purchase, Mad Catz, at its option, will repair or replace the product at
no charge.
The Mad Catz fi ve(5) year limited warranty is available to North
American and European customers. Your sole and exclusive remedy is
repair or replacement of your Mad Catz product. In no event shall Mad
Catz liability exceed the original purchase price of the product. This
warranty does not apply to: (a) normal wear and tear or abusive use;
(b) industrial, professional or commercial use; (c) if the product has
been tampered with or modifi ed.

Product Maintenance
- Use of non-original accessories may result in performance deteriora-
tion, injury, product damage, electric shock, and warranty termina-
tion.
- Attempting to disassemble your Headset may damage it, and the
warranty will be void.
- Use only a clean soft cloth to clean your Headset.
- Do not allow children to play with your Headset as they may injure
themselves or damage the Headset.
Battery Care
-Do not store the Headset in extreme hot or cold temperatures and
the battery should be recharged every two months if not in use for
extended periods of time.
-Only qualifi ed Service Centers are authorized to remove or replace
the battery.
-The battery can only be charged in a temperature range of 50°F
– 113°F (10°C to 45°C)
-Use the Headset at room temperature for maximum battery capacity
as it may be reduced if operated in a cold environment.
CAUTIONS
- Use this unit only as intended
- To prevent fi re or shock hazard, do not expose this unit to rain or
moisture. Do not use within 30' of any water such as swimming pools,
bathtubs, or sinks.
- To avoid electrical shock, do not disassemble. Refer servicing to
qualifi ed personnel only.
- This unit should be operated only from the power source indicated
on the unit. If you are not sure of the type of electrical power sup-
plied to your home, contact your local power company.
- Do not overload wall outlets or extension cords beyond their capac-
ity, since doing so can cause fi re or electric shock.
- Never push objects of any kind, other than authorized items, into the
product as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short out
parts that could result in fi re or electrical shock.
- Route all cords so that they are not likely to be walked on or tripped
over. Make sure that cords are not placed in positions or areas
where they may become pinched or damaged. Do not wrap this cord
around any part of anyone's body.
- Do not allow children to play with cords.

Battery Charging
The Headset comes with a rechargeable battery which is not fully
charged when new. For fi rst time use, it takes 4 hours to fully charge
the battery. Subsequent charges will take about 1 hour. With the bat-
tery fully charged, talk time will be 5 to 6 hours, and the stand-by time
will be about 140 hours.
1. Plug the USB Charge Cable into an available USB port on your PS3 or
PC.
2. Connect the USB Charge Cable to the Headset as shown in the
picture. The Red LED indicator of the Headset will turn on while
charging.
3. When the battery is fi nished charging, the Red LED indicator of the
Headset will turn off.
Low Battery Indicator
-When the Red LED indicator fl ashes slowly, it means the Headset's
battery is low; the Headset will beep as a reminder to recharge.
Button Functions
-K1 button: Power ON/OFF, Pairing.
-K2 button: lncrease volume.
-K3 button: Decrease volume.
Mute
Hold down K2 and K3 at the same time for 1 second to initiate the Mute
function.
Repeat the same procedure to cancel the Mute function.
Turning the Headset On or Off
1. To turn the Headset on:
Press K1 button for about 8 seconds, you will hear two high tones, and
the Blue LED indicator of the Headset will fl ash. The headset is now
turned on.
2. To turn the Headset off:
Press K1 button for about 3 seconds, you will hear two low tones , The
Red LED indicator of the Headset will fl ash quickly several times, and
then the Headset will turn off.
Pairing the Headset
Pairing is a process of associating Bluetooth devices with each other.
It will establish a permanent security link between the devices and
enable quick access to the services provided without the need to re-
enter Pass Keys. You will only need to pair your PS3 and the Headset
once.
Paired devices remain paired even when:
-One of the devices is powered off.
-A service connection is interrupted or stopped.
-One or both devices are restarted.
Pairing the Headset with the PS3
Before the Headset can be used with the PS3, the two devices must be
'paired' so they can communicate with each other. Use a gaming con-
troller for this procedure and ensure that the Headset is powered off.

1. Power on your PS3 console.
2. Within the "Settings" menu, press X on "Accessory Settings."
3. Press X on the icon labeled: "Register Bluetooth® Device."
4. Scroll down and press X on the icon labeled: "Register Headset/Mi-
crophone/Headphones."
5. Once at the next screen, prepare the Headset to be paired with the
PS3 by holding down the K1 button for 8 seconds.
6. Once the Headset's LED indicator is alternately fl ashing Blue and
Red (indicating the Headset is ready to be paired), press X on "Start
Scanning."
7. Once Scan is complete, the PS3 will recognize all Bluetooth devices
within range.
8. Locate "8860" from the list of available devices and press X on its
icon to be prompted for a Pass Key
9. Enter 0000 (four zeros) as the Pass Key and press X on OK
10. You should then be taken to a new screen stating: "Register
completed"
Testing the Headset
Once the Headset has been paired with the PS3, you'll want to test its
functionality.
1. Within the "Settings" menu, press X on "Accessory Settings."
2. Within the "Accessory Settings" menu, press X on "Audio Device
Settings."
3. Set both the Input and Output Device to: "8860."
4. Talk into the Headset's Microphone to confi rm functionality.
5. While a matter of personal preference, it is recommended that the
Microphone Level be set to 5.
Trouble Shooting
1. The Headset cannot be activated after being charged for 20 minutes.
To activate the Headset, the battery needs to charge for at least 40
minutes. It is highly recommended to fully charge the battery before
use.
2. No indication of charging is shown.
If the Headset battery is empty or has not been used for a long time, it
may take some time for the Headset LED indicator to show charging
status with a steady Red light.
3. No sound can be heard from the Headset.
- Make sure that the two devices have been paired.
- Make sure that the Headset is turned on.
- Make sure that the two paired devices are within 30 Ft. (9.15 meters)
of each other
Pairing the Headset with a mobile phone
You are required to pair the Headset with your mobile phone before
using the Headset.
1. The Headset must be powered off before initiating pairing. To initiate
pairing, press the K1 button for 8 seconds until Blue and Red LED
indicators of the Headset fl ash alternately.
2. Initiate pairing process on your Bluetooth mobile phone to pair the
Headset. (For detailed steps please refer to mobile phone manual).
After pairing is complete, you will fi nd a new device named "8860" in
your phone's list of available Bluetooth devices.
3. You will be required to input a Pin-code: 0000 (0000 is a default Pin-
code pre-stored in the Headset) and carry out the pairing process.
Notes:
1. If the Headset is not in pairing mode, your mobile phone won't fi nd
the Headset. Please set the Headset into pairing mode before letting
your mobile phone search for the Headset.
2. The Headset pair mode will continue for about two minutes and the
Headset will automatically power off if pairing can't be completed
within that time. Repeat steps 1 to 3 until pairing succeeds.
Making Calls
Once the Headset is successfully paired with your mobile phone, you
can use the Headset to make and receive calls. The Headset can be
used with voice dialing if your phone supports this function.
1. Using voice dialing:
Press K1 button, wait for a beep and then say the name of the person
whom you want to call.
2. Using mobile phone keys to make a call:
Dial the number on the mobile phone as you normally do. Once the
call has been set up, the sound will be transmitted to your Headset
automatically.
3. Repeat call:
Press the K3 button for several seconds to repeat latest call.
Answering Calls and Ending Calls
When the Headset is powered on and there is an incoming call you
will hear a musical beep, then the Blue LED indicator will change to a
quick-fl ashing mode. If the Headset is in stand-by, the Blue LED indica-
tor will be in a slow-fl ashing mode.
1. When the Headset rings, press the K1 button to answer.
2. Adjust the Headset volume by pressing K2 to increase the volume or
K3 to decrease the volume.
3. End calls by pressing K1 for 3 seconds.
4. When the Headset is powered off and a call comes in, press the K1
button for 8 seconds to turn on the Headset, and then press the K1
button again to answer call.
Note: Due to the different design of some mobile phones, an auto-
disconnect may happen even when the Headset is powered on. In that
case, the Headset won't ring when there is an incoming call. Press
the K1 button for 1 second to reconnect the Headset with your mobile
phone for an incoming call.
Connecting with a PC or PDA
You can connect the Headset with Bluetooth enabled PCs or PDAs that
support Audio Gateway Profi les. Please refer to the manual of your
Bluetooth enabled PC or PDA for setup information.

-Make sure that your mobile phone has proper signal strength.
-Some Bluetooth mobile phones can support only one Bluetooth
Headset. Disconnection may happen when there is more than one
Headset paired with your mobile phone.
4. My Bluetooth Headset is fully charged and power is on but is not
properly working with my mobile phone or PS3?
-You must make sure your mobile phone has Bluetooth capabilities and
that the pairing has been completed.
5. When my Headset and mobile phone are pairing, why are other
Bluetooth devices found in my mobile phone?
-When a Bluetooth capable mobile phone is pairing, other Bluetooth
devices in the vicinity (for example: PDA, NB) will be searched for as
well. It could be "8860" or "Unknown Device".
6. Is pairing required between my mobile phone or PS3 and the Head-
set every time before using?
-No. The pairing is required one time only between a mobile phone, the
PS3 and the Headset.
7. Why is there noise in my Bluetooth Headset?
Headset call quality can be affected by two factors:
-If your mobile phone local signal is very weak.
-If you are out of the 30 Ft. (9.15 meters) operating range.
