Life of the battery / Changing the battery
In order to prolong at the maximum the life of the battery, KWID's
screen automatically switches to standby mode from 9:00PM
until 7:00AM. The clock will remain in standby after 7:00 AM
and will start only when the child will press his "KID" (K1) button.
Standby mode means that the clock is still functioning and only
the screen is turned off.
If the child presses his KID (K1) button during the standby period,
the screen will automatically be turned on for 15 minutes and the
clock can be used as usual during these 15 minutes. Every pres-
sure on no matter which of the keys during these 15 minutes adds
some other 15 minutes counting from the moment the pressure
took place. If the sandglass is turned on or is currently being used
during the standby period, the sandglass will function normally
until the end of the alarm; the screen will automatically switch to
turned off after this alarm period.
The average life of the battery in normal use is of 6 months. The
life of the battery is extended according to the daily start time.
To change the battery, gently open the case of the clock using
a small screwdriver and replace the used battery with a new
one of the same type. In order to guarantee the tightness, it is
recommended to have the battery changed by a professional
watchmaker.
Water resistance
KWID is "water resistant", meaning it resists to water splashes, but
immersing it entirely in water for more than few seconds should
be avoided.
