CHECK that the upholstery and infant head support around the shoulder strap slots
do not interfere with the free movement of the harness Ⓢ.
Buckling the harness
□ Release both tongues by pushing the red button on the crotch buckle Ⓧ.
□ Place your child in the car seat, making sure both the child's back and bottom are
fully supported by the seating surface.
□ Fit the harness around the child's shoulders and thighs. The crotch pad Ⓣ should be
between the child's legs and the crotch buckle.
CHECK that there are no twists in the harness.
□ Connect the buckle tongues together and insert the buckle tongues into the
crotch buckle. You should hear and feel a CLICK as the tongues are inserted into
the buckle.
CHECK to see if the buckle tongues are locked by pulling up on the harness. DO
NOT use the car seat if the harness does not lock in place, and contact Orbit Baby.
Note: Tongues will not insert separately.
□ Gently pull on the shoulder straps to tighten the lap section of the harness.
□ Slowly pull the adjuster strap to snugly adjust the harness onto the child.
CHECK again that the harness is not twisted.
CHECK that the harness is snug on shoulder and thighs. At your child's shoulders,
try to pinch the webbing up and down. Your fingers should slide off. If excess
webbing can be pinched, pull the adjuster strap again. A snug strap should not allow
any slack. It lies in a relatively straight line without sagging. It does not press on the
child's flesh or push the child's body into an unnatural position.
Note: Always check and reset the harness if you add to or remove the child's
clothing.
