MANAGING RESIDENT BADGES
To work with the SK9001U unit, badges must be
programmed using the SIMPLEKEY ADVANCED
software.
1. INITIALIZING
f
The unit Art. SK9001U is supplied untouched
and needs to be initialised. To do so, simply
connect it to the power supply and pass one of
the programmed badges in front of the reader.
»
The unit will remain in programming mode for
a few seconds (the red and green LEDs will
flash simultaneously) while the unit registers the
Building Code and the Site Code.
When the unit has returned to its normal operating
mode, all badges programmed for the same
Building will be able to open the door without further
programming and the corresponding parameters will
be saved automatically when they are first shown.
N.B.: Multi-Building programming:
If, as happens relatively often, the building has a main
entrance and several secondary entrances, badges
belonging to different buildings can be programmed
and authorised (maximum 30). To do so, simply
pass the badges belonging to different buildings in
front of the unit, one after another, while the unit is
Programming mode for initialisation. This means the
unit will be programmed with multiple Building Codes
and all the badges for these buildings will be able to
open the door.
For information regarding Adding Building codes, see
point 6.
2. ADDING A BADGE
To add a badge, simply program it in the

SIMPLEKEY ADVANCED software and present it

3. REPLACING A BADGE
To remove a badge, simply select it in the
f
SIMPLEKEY ADVANCED software, delete it and
reprogram a new badge.
»
The first time a new badge is used, the

5.
Move selector S3 to 1 (operating mode).
7. SETTING THE DATE AND TIME
√ In order to work properly, the internal clock
for unit Art. SK9001U must be set. The clock
is factory set to universal time (GMT) and
will automatically set itself to the time zone
corresponding to the area in which it is used
when the unit is initialised (first key presented).
f
However, if necessary, you can change the date
and time manually using software Art. SK9093
supplied separately. To do so, simply connect
the cable (provided in the kit) to the unit and
launch the program. Click on "clock" and follow
the instructions to change the setting.
Other functions are also available (change password,
reinitialise unit, etc.).
