Electronic control on the NSB chillers
takes the form of a pCO pCO2 con-
trol board for each compressor and a
display terminal for each machine. The
control boards (in the multicompressor
machines) and the terminal are inter-
connected in a PLAN network. In the
multicompressor machines the board
that controls compressor No. 1 is the
master board, while the others are sla-
ves. Each board, both master and slave
type, has transducers, loads and alarms
relative to the compressor it controls

only has those generated by the machi-
ne connected. The master board therefo-
re controls the main machine functions
such as work thermostat, total recovery
thermostat, rotation of the compressors
and general alarms.
Each board is identified by an address
for communication in the pLAN and this
also determines the board type (master
board address 1, display terminal board
address 5.)
