A revolution in the art of chip-making !
With the G
F
RIT ®
, Frifri/Dalcq has come up with
RILL
a brand new concept: an odourless, fat-free fryer
without an oil pan for lighter and crispier chips
cooked to perfection.
The principle is simple: frozen chips, that have
already been cooked, are placed into a basket that
rotates continuously in front of an electrical ele-
ment. The heat gradually warms up the chips until
they reach the right temperature and degree of
crispiness. Blades inside the basket separate the
chips as they turn.
This cooking method offers several advantages :
• You no longer need to buy fat or oil, as the chips
used have already been cooked. All you have to
do is warm them up. This means quite a conside-
rable cost saving.
• You cut down on overall preparation time, as you
no longer have to wait for the oil or fat to reach
the right temperature.
• You can say goodbye to the lingering odours of
fat and chips. All that remains is the delicious
aroma that will whet your appetite.
RIT ®
• Prepared with the G
F
, the chips are much
RILL
less greasy than those cooked in a traditional
fryer, helping you towards a healthier diet!
RIT ®
• The G
F
also allows you to avoid the pains-
RILL
taking and unpleasant task of cleaning a fryer.
The G
F
RIT ®
is fast and easy to clean, as
RILL
explained below.
• The safety factor is another advantage of the sys-
tem. With the G
RIT ®
, gone is the risk of being
F
RILL
burnt by splashing fat or of the oil or fat catching
fire, as they are replaced by an electrical ele-
ment.

Cooked and frozen chips
The G
RIT ®
does not cook, it heats. It cannot
F
RILL
therefore be used, as is the case for traditional
fryers, with raw or precooked chips or with stan-
dard frozen chips. The chips must have been
cooked in advance and frozen according to a spe-
cific process.
Be careful when buying your frozen products in a
supermarket or from a retailer, carefully read the
information on the packaging and make sure that
it carries the G
F
RIT ®
symbol: pre-cooking is not
RILL
enough!
User instructions
RIT ®
• The basket of the G
F
is intended for a
RILL
maximum content of 600 g, i.e. three to four
good-sized portions. We recommend that you
do not exceed this weight.
• After each use, make sure that you roll up the
power cord into the storing cavity on the left of
RIT ®
the G
F
. This will protect it from damage.
RILL
• Look after your G
RIT ®
, clean it regularly by
F
RILL
following the recommendations given. This will
not only make your machine last longer but also
ensure that the machine does not give off any
odours during subsequent uses. Please note, if
the basket and the outside of the machine are
not regularly cleaned, increasingly strong fat
smells will be generated each time you use it.

Before using the G
F
for the first time,
RILL
finish assembling it by attaching the two pro-
tective handles to each end of the basket. To
do so, simply slide the handles into the two
shafts. For the two operations, a "click" will tell
you when the handle is correctly attached (A).

RIT ®
How to make chips with your G
F
?
RILL
Nothing could be simpler ...
• Take the basket and open it, placing the two
parts on the table.
• Place the required quantity of chips (maximum
of 600 g) into the half basket that does not
contain the blades (B).
• Close the basket by placing the segment that
contains the blades on top of the part containing
the chips. To do so, follow the lateral guide and
insert the outside ring into the notch (C).
• Place the basket into the machine by inserting
the end of the basket into the turning mecha-
nism. (D).
• Turn the timer (E), selecting the heating time
according to the quantity of chips required..
Timer "Off"
• At the end of the heating programme, the ele-
ment switches off automatically and the basket
continues to turn for an additional minute before
stopping. A small "click" can be heard. This
marks the end of the programme. You can now
remove the basket (F) and place it on a plate or
on a towel to be able to open it. Your chips are
ready.
Be careful, the basket is hot. We therefore
advise you not to place it directly onto a plastic
surface (oilcloth in particular) or on non heat-
resistant material.
Cleaning
• After each use, rinse the basket under hot water
or in water containing washing up liquid. If the
basket is not cleaned properly, the fat and chip
odours will be stronger during subsequent uses.
Please note: do not put the basket in the
dishwasher!
• The internal stainless steel cavity of the
RIT ®
can be cleaned with a sponge or
G
F
RILL
damp cloth and washing up liquid. Cleaning and
grease removal products for ovens can also be
used.
• Never plunge the G
RIT ®
into water!
F
RILL

RIT ®
• If the G
F
does not work check that the
RILL
power supply pin is correctly plugged into the
socket. If the problem persists, contact your Frifri
retailer or call our after-sales service.
RIT ®
• If the G
F
power cord is damaged, it must
RILL
be replaced by our technical service or by an
electrician to avoid any accident.
