English
Do not insulate the pump.
Always respect the maintenance and repair
recommendations for the motor and the pump.
Respect the installation and commissioning in-
structions (filling, flushing out...) in order to eli-
minate any risk of dry running and operation at
zero delivery rate.
The delivery rate controller supplied with the
ATEX pump controls the presence of water in the
upper part of the pump. The electrical connection
must allow the motor to be switched off in case
of a lack of water.
The mechanical seal must be adapted to the
pumped fluid and to the service conditions.
To avoid the risk of overspeed, do not exceed the
pump's designated capacity.
The pump must be earthed in compliance with
the installation instructions.
The operator is responsible for inspecting the
pump at regular intervals as follows:
• The hydraulics coupling/motor must always be
completely tightened to the torque (M6: 8 N·m,
M8: 22.5 N·m, M10: 45 N·m, M12: 80 N·m) to
avoid any abnormal play, vibrations and mecha-
nical degradation that may give rise to heat and
therefore cause sparks.
• The internal components of the pump must be
monitored every time maintenance and repair
work is carried out and replaced if necessary.
• It is recommended to check that the pump runs
without any locking point every time the pump is
stopped for maintenance and repair.
The motor has the ATEX certification. Please refer
to the respective instructions.
The delivery rate sensor has the ATEX certifica-
tion. Please refer to the manufacturer's operating
instructions and the additional installation and
operating instructions.

4.2
Operating principle of the controller
Based on thermodynamic principles, the delivery
rate sensor is heated to a temperature which
is slightly above that of the fluid in which it is
submerged. Depending on the delivery rate of
the fluid, a decrease in its temperature can be
observed.
Certificated material
(temperature of the liquid 90°C max.)
It is possible to switch off the pump motor if the
delivery rate is lower than the setpoint.
The pump is thus protected from an increase in
temperature at a weak delivery rate or at a zero
delivery rate (with or without fluid).
4.3
Installation of the detector (Fig. 1)
The sensor shall be assembled in the top part of
the pump.
Remove the venting plug and use the unions
provided (if needed) to completely screw the
active part of the detector (this must be in con-
tact with the liquid).
4.4
Installation of the delivery rate controller
This device must not be placed in hazardous
areas. Always follow the manufacturer's opera-
ting instructions when connecting the pump.
4.5
Recommended electrical installation
The motor is supplied with a contactor, a
time-delayed opening and a normal open con-
tact. There are two push buttons, one for the
starting up and one for the stopping the pump.
To extend the cable length of the sensor beyond
a hazardous area, it is recommended to use an
ATEX cable and connections and accessories
which are optionally provided.
