Safety notes
•
The units may only be installed in frost-free rooms.
•
The control electronics are only suitable for indoor use.
•
In case of damage to the external connection cable of the control unit, this must be replaced by the
manufacturer or their customer service or an equally qualified person, in order to prevent a health hazard.
•
The 230 V AC supply must not be fed into the flushing valve wall-mounting box and the transformer must
not be installed in the flushing valve wall-mounting box.
•
For cleaning purposes, the transformer plug-in connector must not be directly or indirectly sprayed
with water.
Functional description
The infrared-electronic system emits invisible pulsed light. If this light is reflected by a user for a minimum of 7 s
(minimum delay time) and is then received again by the electronic system, the lifting magnet is actuated after
the user steps away. The lifting magnet actuates the discharge valve and the WC bowl is flushed.
The range of sensitivity is dependent on the reflective properties of the object.
Setting mode
In the setting mode, the flow volume can be changed (see flow volume setting) and the fitting's detection zone
can be checked. The 7 s minimum delay time is not available in the setting mode.
The setting mode is activated as follows:
•
Disconnect the power supply to the electronic module
•
Wait 10 s
•
Reconnect the power supply to the electronic module
The LED in the infrared window illuminates (on) when the fitting's detection zone is reached as result of the
fitting being approached. It is also possible to adjust the detection zone via the optional remote control.
The fitting automatically switches to operating mode 3 minutes after the power supply has been connected.
The functions described above are then no longer available.
Flow volume setting
The factory set flow volume is approx. 6 litres. The flow volume can be changed if it is necessary to make an
adjustment to the factory settings (Figs 12 - 18).
Flow volumes exceeding 6 l are only possible with a cistern of the appropriate capacity (9 l).
Procedure for flow volume setting
Fig. 12: Disconnect the power supply to the electronic module and wait 10 s before reconnecting it.
Fig. 13: Hold hand at a distance of approx. 5 - 10cm in front of the sensor window (LED flashes quickly).
Fig. 14: The indicator lamp automatically goes out after approx. 5 s.
Fig. 15: Remove hand from the detection zone (at least 90cm).
Fig. 16: Hold hand in front of the fitting again at a distance of 5 - 10cm.
LED starts to flash:
Fig. 17a:
2 flashes (approx. 4 litres)
Pause
3 flashes (approx. 5 litres)
Pause
Etc. until
7 flashes (6/9 l)
Fig. 17b: Remove hand after a flashing sequence (desired flow volume). The installation is then flushed with
the set flow volume. The selected flow volume is indicated via the number of LED flashes.
Fig. 18: Check the flow volume: If the flow volume is OK: wait ≥ 20 s
(the fitting automatically switches to normal operation mode).
If not OK: Set the flow volume again.
Pre-flush (can be switched on with remote control)
Short flush after approx. 2 s (approx. 2 l). Main flush after leaving the detection zone (set flow volume).
...2 x flashes
