6 S1 and S2 are operated at the two-hand control console. Two-hand control unit
3TK2834 outputs enable signal. K3 and K4 pick up.
7 Plunger moves downwards. S3 is no longer operated.
8 Test cam is reached. S4 is operated. K3 drops out.
9 Plunger moves. S4 is no longer operated (is overtravelled).
K3 picks up.
10 S1 and S2 are no longer operated. K3 and K4 drop out.
11 S1 and S2 are operated. K4 picks up again.
Overtravel distance tester is inhibited.

Sequence chart
Operation
Sequence of operations after the press has been switched on:
1. Switch on the hydraulic pump with S5, move plunger to top dead centre, if
necessary by means of S6.
2. Operate S1, S2 on the two-hand control console until the position switch for
test-cam (S4) opens.
3. No longer operate S1, S2.
4. Operate S1, S2 again: Indicator light H1 lights up if the overtravel distance is
OK.
5. No longer operate S1, S2: The plunger returns to top dead centre.
6. If overtravel distance is OK, all outputs remain active until the control
voltage is switched OFF.

Fault
If the cam overtravels position switch S4, indicator light H1 does not light up.
The hazardous part of the machine can be moved up to top dead centre only by
means of S6.
The press can no longer be used for production. When this happens,
notify the maintenance staff that the press needs attention.

The overtravel distance tester is protected by an internal self-healing PTC fuse
(multifuse).
Be sure to fit the specified fuses. Otherwise safe interruption
in the event of a fault cannot be guaranteed.
