STARTING UP
Configuration of the central unit consists of 3 steps: importing the Vigik® rights; setting the
parameters of the central unit; and making a register of authorised keys.
1.- Importing the Vigik® rights.
The central unit is supplied with the obligatory Vigik rights. Importing new rights is done
using the iAccess Manager program. Once installed, turn on the access control central
unit and connect it to a PC using a USB cable. Please consult the iAccess Manager program
manual for details of how to transfer the rights.
2.- Configuring the central unit.
This is done using a configuration key. When the central unit is deconfigured, if the next
key it reads is a configuration key, it will read all the parameters stored on that key, and
this will configure the central unit. The parameters are as follows: Site Code, Time, Date,
Door Number and time-setting of the door-opening relay.
New central units leave the factory deconfigured. To deconfigure an older central unit,
use the iAccess Manager program. Please consult its manual.
The configuration key is programmed with the iACCESS Web application, available at
http://www.alcad.net/iaccess. Please consult the manual online.
3.- Making a register of authorised keys.
This is done automatically, one key at a time. When the central unit reads a new resident
key which has been configured correctly, it registers it in its database. The keys of all the
residents are registered in this way.
The parameters of resident keys are set using the Web application iAccess, available at
http://www.alcad.net/iaccess. Please consult the manual.
MAINTENANCE. AUTODIAGNOSIS LED. (Authorized personnel only)
In case of existing any problem with the central unit, dismount the cover and find out what's
going on by looking at the red LED at the center of the printed circuit. The central unit periodically
autodiagnosis itself and indicates the result according to one of the following states:
1.- LED continuously off. Power failure (check the voltage) or damage (replace the central
unit).
2.- LED continuously on. Operating error. Replace the central unit.
3.- LED blinking slowly. TEST operating mode. During 5 minutes you can activate de relay
using deprogrammed resident keys.
4.- LED blinking quickly. Normal operating mode.
