Before Initial Use
•
Remove any possible fi lms, stickers or transport protection from the device. Never
remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!
•
Attach the protective visor (8) to the cutting head (11) (see the "Assembly and
Settings of the Device" chapter – "Attaching the Protective Visor").
•
Attach two cutting blades (9) to the respective mounts on the rotating disc (see
the "Assembly and Settings of the Device" chapter – "Attaching / Detaching Cutting
Blades").
To use our gardening tools, you also require the Hoberg battery for gardening
i
tools (model number ZDBP20012001). This is not supplied with the device. You
will fi nd it in the Hoberg range under article number 04343.
Assembly and Settings of the Device
PLEASE NOTE!

Make sure that the battery is not inserted in the device while accessories are
being attached / detached or settings are being made to the device.
Attaching the Protective Visor (Picture B)
Slide the protective visor (8) onto the bottom of the cutting head (11). When you do this,
make sure that the locking lugs fi t correctly in the recesses which are provided for them.
You must feel the protective visor engage in place.
Attaching / Detaching Cutting Blades
Place the device down so that the bottom of the cutting head (11) is pointing upwards.

Attaching:

Place the cutting blade (9) with the large eyelet on a mount on the rotating disc
(Picture C1).
–
Pull the cutting blade towards you until the mount fi ts fully in the small eyelet
(Picture C2).

Detaching: Push the cutting blade away from you until the mount fi ts in the large
eyelet, and detach the cutting blade.
Adjusting the Telescopic Rod (Picture D1 + D2)
PLEASE NOTE!
■
CAUTION! Never let go of the telescopic rod when it is pulled out without having
fi xed it in place. It automatically springs back. There is a danger of crushing and
trapping!
The length of the telescopic rod (6) can be varied, which means you can adjust it
individually to suit your height.
1.
Unscrew the fi xing (5) clockwise.
2. Pull the telescopic rod out to the length you want and hold it in this position.
3. Fix it by screwing the fi xing anticlockwise to tighten it.
