Step 9
Ensure there is adequate space in or around
the aquarium or sump to allow the filter to
be securely installed. Make certain you locate
the filter in a position where it can easily be
connected to the water outlet of your pump
or power filter and so that the filtered water

leaving the V
Bio React can easily be returned
to your aquarium or sump and the filter can
be accessed for maintenance and cleaning.
Step 11
Using a suitable length of 16mm flexible
hosing (not supplied) connect your pump
or power filter to the V
inlet (6).
Let the filter run for 24-48 hours to establish itself. Once the filter has been established, if required,
adjust the water flow on your pump/power filter to ensure the media is fluidising correctly. Failure
to do so could result in over-fluidisation of the media and the media being pumped out of the filter
and into your aquarium or sump. Please Note: Fluctuations in the water level in your aquarium or
sump may affect the fluidising level in your filter. Please ensure the media is always fluidising at the
correct level when adding or removing water.

Step 10
If you are hanging the V
side of your aquarium or sump, tighten the
hanger securing screw (16), turning in a
clockwise direction. Caution: Do not
over-tighten the hanger securing screw (16)
as this could result in operating problems.
Step 12
Make sure all connections are tightly secured.
Switch on your pump/power filter and slowly
adjust the water flow on your pump/power
filter until the correct flow of water is
achieved and your
chosen media is
fluidizing
correctly.
Please note:
It may take a
few minutes for
the correct
fluidising level
to be achieved.
