ELECTRICAL
Wiring
Fire Hazard. Risk of dangerous or fatal
electric shock. Connect ground wire before connecting
power supply wires. Incorrect voltage can cause a fire
or seriously damage the motor and voids the warranty.
The supply voltage must be within ±10% of the motor
nameplate voltage. Do not alter the wiring in the motor.
Verify motor data voltage is correctly matched to power
source voltage. Never connect a 110/127 voltage motor
to a 220-240 voltage power source.
Maintain your pump in compliance with all local codes
and ordinances that apply. Consult your local building
inspector for code information.
For instructions on wiring the pump, refer to the decal
inside the control box. To avoid dangerous electrical
shock hazard, keep the wires dry at all times.
Lubrication
The motor is lubricated at the factory for the life of
the bearings. The pump seal is water cooled and self
lubricating.
Pump Service
Hazardous voltage. Can shock, burn, or
cause death. Unplug the pump before servicing it. Do not
handle the pump or attempt to work on the pump with
wet hands or while standing on a wet or damp floor.
The motor has an auto-reset thermal overload protec-
tor. If the motor overheats, the overload will cut off the
power to prevent damage and will reset after the motor
cools. If the overload trips repeatedly, check the pump
for the cause (low voltage, a clogged impeller, etc.).

Pressure Switch Wiring
The pressure switch is pre-wired to the motor.
1. Unplug the pump to remove power.
2. Remove the pressure switch cover.
3. Attach a 115 volt cable to the pressure switch as
shown. Either wire can connect to either terminal.
4. Attach the pressure switch cover.
Checking Tank Pressure
The pressure tank is pre-charged with air pressure.
This must be adjusted when first installed, and
re-checked periodically.
The pressure switch is pre-set to 2 / 3.4 bar (30 / 50 PSI).
The tank pre-charge pressure should be set to 1.93 bar
(28 PSI).
If the system cut-in pressure is changed, then the tank
pre-charge pressure must be changed.
To change or check tank pre-charge pressure:
1. Turn off power to the pump.
2. Close the suction line valve from the storage tank.
3. Open a faucet to drain pressure from the tank.
4. Use an air pressure gauge (same as used on auto-
mobile tires), and check the air pressure from the air
fitting on top of the tank.
Motor wires connect here.
Power supply wires connect here.
115 Volt / 220 Volt: Connect one hot
wire (black or red) to one of these
screws (it doesn't matter which one).
Connect the white (neutral) wire to the
other screw. Cap any remaining black
or red wires.
Clamp the power cable to prevent strain
on the terminal screws.
Connect the green (or bare copper) ground wire
to the either green ground screw.
