Each controller family (Navigator, Ice and HT) has it's own operating
parameters and some of the parameters can be specific of a single
model of one controller family.
Parameterization is done once for each network session (time period
with the network active) and every time a single controller exits and
enters in the low speed network (i.e. it is switched off and on, or the
RS485 cable is unplugged and plugged again).
The result of the Parameterization is indicated in the
"Parameterization Result" section of each controller in the User
diagnostic data. Every parameter corresponds at one bit (starting
from MSFB of byte 0 to LSB of byte 1). If the bit is 0 the controller
accepted the parameter, if the bit is one the parameter wasn't
accepted by the controller.
The controller for the following reasons can't accept one parameter:
TMP Profibus Gateway User Manual / 87-900-976-01 (F)
The controller hasn't that functionality. The user can't obviously
do nothing to solve the problem and the interface will operate
without that parameter.
The value of the parameter, selected by the user during the
network configuration phase is not accepted by the controller:
the user must check the parameters value for that controller and
refer to the controller instruction manual to know the
parameters limits.
