or screw the wall caps to the marked positions, using the adhe-
sive strips or the screws supplied, as explained in the paragraph
"How to Position the Safety gate" above. Carry out this operation
with the appropriate fixing accessories (i.e.: inserts).
WARNING: If the anchoring surfaces are covered with wallpa-
per, have air bubbles or are damaged, the caps must be fixed
with the screws.
Replace the safety gate, ensuring that the external bars are
placed at same distance with respect to the anchoring sur-
faces; then fit the shafts into the wall caps. Screw the cranks
of the shafts to the same degree, in correspondence with the
lower part of the safety gate, checking that that they are in
contact with the safety gate. Screw them tightly and ensure
they are correctly fixed into position.
Screw the cranks of the shafts, in correspondence with the
lower part of the safety gate, to the same degree, until they are
in contact with the safety gate. Tighten the cranks, ensuring that
they are fixed correctly into position, balancing the position of
the four side cranks as seen in details E1 and E2 of diagram E.
The safety gate has a specific spacer that allows you to adjust
and tension the cranks correctly. Place the spacer in corre-
spondence with the closing device, then tighten the cranks
until the two ends of the safety gate do not touch the spacer
(diagram F1 – F2).
WARNING: Before using the safety gate, ensure that it is fitted
and assembled correctly.
HOW TO OPEN THE SAFETY BARRIER GUARD
Press the upper button located in correspondence with the
handle of the safety gate and, whilst keeping it pressed down,
also press the lower button (see diagram G).
It is not necessary to raise the safety barrier guard.
HOW TO CLOSE THE SAFETY BARRIER GUARD
Once opened, the safety gate closes and locks automatically.
The safety gate can also be closed by hand, simply by pushing
it. Do not slam the gate of the safety barrier guard, to check
that the safety gate is shut properly, make sure the pin is
aligned with the silk-screen printed mark on the upper bar of
the safety gate. As seen in diagram H.
WARNING: Always ensure that the safety gate is safely closed
and blocked before leaving it unattended.
HOW TO REMOVE THE SAFETY BARRIER GUARD
This safety gate has anti-tampering cranks. The two cranks
placed in correspondence with the top part of the safety gate
can be loosened only when the guard is open and the pres-
sure is decreased by moving the lateral bars away from the
anchoring surfaces.
EXTENSIONS
Extensions (diagram I) are available in 3 sizes: 72 mm, 144 mm,
360 mm.
WARNING: Do not use more than one extension at a time.
WARNING: Do not extend the safety gate over 117 cm.
The extensions are available at the local distributors.
