IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!
Your TRIBUTARIES® PWRI-XF AC Power Extension Outlet Kit provides a convenient method of connecting
a power management, surge suppression device to a remote display. Additional line filtering is included in
the remote outlet. However, like any electronic device, if inappropriately or improperly installed it may not
perform as intended. By following a few common sense precautions, your AC Power Extension Outlet will
give you a lifetime of worry-free performance.
The following safety precautions apply to this and all TRIBUTARIES® Power Products.
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT EXPOSE THIS EQUIPMENT TO RAIN
OR MOISTURE.
NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. To reduce the risk of
electric shock, do not attempt to open casing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
GENERAL
• Please read the safety instructions in this owner's manual prior to installing the PWRI-XF.
• Keep these safety instructions for future reference when operating the PWRI-XF.
• Heed all warnings contained in this operating manual.
• Follow all instructions.
• Warning: to reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this equipment to rain or moisture.
• Disconnect the power supply cord plug from the AC power source when unused for long periods of time.
• Only use accessories specified by TRIBUTARIES®
INSTALLATION
• This product must be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
• The TRIBUTARIES PWRI-XF is designed for installation in 15 amp / 125 volt circuits only.
• Heat: Do not place the PWRI-XF near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, A/V
receivers or amplifiers that produce considerable amounts of heat.
• Water and moisture: Do not use the PWRI-XF near water, such as a bathtub, washbowl, or swimming pool.
• Cleaning: Clean the PWRI-XF only with a dry cloth.
ELECTRICAL POWER
• Power Sources: The PWRI-XF is rated for use with only 125 volt / 15 Amp circuits.
• Install with a minimum of 14 AWG building (e.g. Romex) electrical wire.
• AC power cord: Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs.
• Do not overload wall outlets as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
• To completely disconnect this product from the AC mains, disconnect the power cord plug from the
Neutrik® AC receptacle or connected Power Manager.
