• Transport pressing attachments in shock-
protected transport cases.
• Regularly inspect pressing attachments for
defects and damage before and after every
use. Inspect the pressing attachments
particularly for incipient cracks in the pressing
contour and on the flanges.
• If there are incipient cracks, take the pressing
attachments out of service immediately, label
them as defective and do not use them again.
Avoiding damage to the Geberit pressing
jaws caused by faulty pressing operations
Geberit pressing jaws can be damaged by
faulty pressing operations or use, such as by
being pressed by foreign bodies.
• Do not tilt the pressing jaws on the pressfitting.
• If you suspect that the pressing jaws are
damaged (for example, if sharp edges appear
on the pressfitting after the pressing
procedure), they must be replaced.
Using personal protective equipment
People can be injured without suitable
protective equipment. Wear a protective
helmet, protective goggles and safety shoes
during the pressing procedure.
