... the head stop slides down and does not stay in the required position?
– Place the scale carefully on its side so
that the base of the scale is accessible.
Insert the Allen key supplied in the rec-
tangular hole on the end of the measur-
ing rod as shown in the illustration and
tighten up the screw for the measuring
rod guide clockwise.
The measuring rod with the head stop
should remain freely mobile, but not be
able to slide down on its own.
Then stand the scale upright again.
8. Servicing/recalibration
Have the scales recalibrated by authorised persons in accordance with national legal re-
quirements. The year of initial calibration can be found behind the CE symbol on the rating
plate above the number of the appointed office, 0109 (Hessen Weights & Measures Of-
fice). Recalibration is required in all cases if one or more calibration seals have been dam-
aged or calibration counter contents does not match the number on the valid calibration
counter sticker (c.f. "Checking that the contents of the calibration counter are correct").
We recommend having your scales serviced by your local service agent before having it
recalibrated. Seca Customer Service will be pleased to give you further assistance.
