WARNINGS
1. Inspect instruments for damage prior to use.
Replace damaged or worn instruments. Do not
attempt to repair.
2. If resistance is felt during the insertion of an
ABSOLUTE Absorbable Interference Screw over a
guide wire, stop and confirm that the guide wire is
not entrapped. If entrapped, back out the screw and
withdraw the guide wire.
PRECAUTIONS
1. The DePuy Mitek ABSOLUTE Absorbable
Interference Screw should not be used without prior
review of the procedure and Instructions for Use.
2. The DePuy Mitek ABSOLUTE Absorbable
Interference Screw implant is supplied STERILE and
is intended for single use only. Do not resterilize.
3. It is mandatory to completely seat the ABSOLUTE
Interference Screw onto the correct driver for proper
implant delivery.
CONTENTS
Contents are STERILE unless packaging is damaged
or opened.

ADVERSE EFFECTS

Adverse effects of absorbable implanted devices include
mild inflammatory and foreign body reactions.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
(for femoral fixation)
1. With the knee hyperflexed beyond 90°, insert a
1.1mm Nitinol guide wire through the anterior medial
portal or patellar defect, into the femoral tunnel
beside the graft.
2. Place the appropriate size Interference Screw on
the tip of the Cannulated Hex Driver. Advance the
Hex Driver over the Nitinol guide wire into the gap
between the graft and the tunnel wall.
3. Rotate the Hex Driver clockwise until it is counter
sunk slightly inside the tunnel. Remove the Hex Driver
and guide wire. If the nitinol guide wire becomes
entrapped, rotate the Hex Driver counter clockwise
to back out the screw until the guide wire straightens.
Pull back on the guide wire, and readvance the screw.
