Before using the coffee machine for the first time, proceed as follows: Carefully unpack your coffee machine and remove all
packaging material and possible promotional stickers. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children.
After unpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport.
Place the coffee machine on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface. Check that the voltage stated on the information plate
matches the voltage used in your region.
It is best to clean the interior of the new coffee machine prior to using it for the first time. This is done as follows:
• Slide the removable water reservoir out of the appliance. Fill the water reservoir with cold drinking water. Do not fill it above
the MAX mark. Slide the reservoir back into the appliance and place the water hose in the water reservoir.
• Place the one- or two-cup filter without coffee in the filter holder, making sure that the ball at the side of the filter falls
precisely into the indentation in the holder. Then place the holder in the appliance from the INSERT position and firmly turn
