Attaching the mounting strap to

the outlet box
□ Screw the hex nut (FF) about 3/8 inch onto the nipple
(CC).
□ Place the washer (GG) onto the nipple (CC).
□ Screw the nipple (CC) into the mounting strap (AA).
□ Place the mounting strap (AA) over the outlet box (not
included) with the nipple (CC) facing out.
□ Place the outlet box screws (EE) through the long
holes on the mounting strap (AA) and screw the outlet
box screws (EE) into the outlet box.

Connecting the electrical wires
□ Wrap the middle of the ground wire from the fixture
around the ground screw (DD) on the mounting
strap (AA). Use a wire connector (BB) to connect
the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire
from the outlet box.
□ Use a wire connector (BB) to connect the white
wire from the fixture to the white wire
(neutral wire) from the outlet box.
□ Use a wire connector (BB) to connect the black
wire from the fixture to the black wire (live wire)
from the outlet box.
□ Wrap the three wire connections with electrical
tape for a more secure connection.
□ Position the wires back inside the outlet box.

Securing the globe
□ Screw a lock nut (D) onto one side of a threaded rod
(E). Repeat for the other threaded rod (E).
□ Place the iron rings (H) into position, and secure
one side of them by inserting the threaded rod (E)
through one side and screwing a lock nut (D) onto
the threaded rod (E) to keep the iron rings (H) in
place.
□ Place the globe (G) over the socket (F).
□ Secure the other side of the iron rings (H) with the
other threaded rod (E) and lock nut (D).
