BASIC OPERATIONS

Plug the tool into the correct power supply to turn it On. Unplug the
tool to turn Off. Do not pull the cord. Grasp the plug and unplug the
appliance. The CHI tool display is turned On and Off by pushing the
"Standby Button" on the handle. The display will light up to show it is
On. Use the "Temperature Control" buttons, labeled as + (plus) and –
(minus) to set the correct temperature. Press the "Standby Button" to
turn On and Off the power to the heater and display. Unplug the iron
in order to cut off any electrical charge. To switch Off the equipment, it
shall be disconnected from the main supply.
To use the optional auto shut off feature, press the Mode Button until the
timer screen is displayed. Use the Temperature Control buttons to adjust
the timer. Once the time is up on the time, the tool will automatically shut
off. Control the Temperature Controls for the temperature desired. Turn
the Standby Button Off after completion of using the appliance.
This appliance features Rapid Infrared Ray heating from the Ceramic
heater and uses Titanium coated Plates to protect the condition of the
hair.
The locking mechanism is located at the top of the base and is used
to switch attachments. To prevent burns, turn off iron and wait until the
attachment has cooled off before exchanging attachments. To remove
the attachment, rotate the locking mechanism to the right and remove
the attachments. Line up the three prongs on the new attachment to
the three holes in the base. The attachments will only fit properly when
placed a certain direction.
If the attachment does not slide into the base then turn the attachment
180 degrees and once again align the three prongs into the holes.
Rotate the locking mechanism to the left to secure the attachment in
place. When replacing the attachment, take the proper precautions as
they may still be hot. Use the cool tip and base to safely exchange the
attachments.
MAINTENANCE
Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed.
Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If
cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power
source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes
twisted, untwist prior to use.
