Intended use of the machine.
The undercarriage is intended for stationary
mounting of GRIT GI 75/150 stationary belt
grinders.
Mounting instructions (Figures
A + C).
Fasten the undercarriage to the ground
with suitable anchor/screw connections.
The fastening must be suitable to withstand
the forces occurring during working.
Release both clamping levers (1), adjust the
support (2) to the horizontal position and
tighten both clamping levers (1) again.
Place the machine to be mounted onto the
support (2).
Due to the danger of accidents, this work
must be carried out by persons that are
physically capable of lifting the high weight of the
machine.
Fasten the machine onto the support with
suitable screws (3).
Connect the extraction hose (6) to the
machine's connection sleeve for dust extrac-
tion and tighten the hose clamp (5).
Electrical connection.
Observe mains voltage: The mains voltage and
the frequency of the power source must agree
with the data on the type plate of the machine.
Plug the mains plug of the extraction system into
the intended socket outlet on the machine.
Adjusting the incline (Figure B).
Loosen both clamping levers (1). Adjust the
machine to the required working height.
Tighten both clamping levers (1) again.
Operating instructions.
Switching ON and OFF (GIBE)
The extraction system is automatically switched
on or off via the On/Off switch of the mounted
machine.
Emptying the collection receptacle/
Replacing the filter insert
(GIBE – Figure D).
Loosen the hose clamp (5) of the rear
extraction hose and pull off the extraction
hose from the connection sleeve (13).
Loosen both star-knob bolts (12) and com-
pletely pull out the collection recepta-
cle (10).
Loosen the six screws (11) until the
frame (7) and the filter inserts (8)/(9) can be
pulled out to the rear.
Clean the filter insert with compressed air
and empty the collection receptacle.
Place the cleaned filter inserts (8)/(9) into
the frame (7) with the correct side facing
upward.
Reassemble all components in reverse
order.
Repair and customer service.
Repairs may be carried out only by quali-
fied persons in conformity with the valid
regulations.
For repairs, we recommend our FEIN customer
service centre, the FEIN authorised service cen-
tres and FEIN agencies.
Carry out the following maintenance regularly:
Empty the collection receptacle and clean
the filter inserts.
Replace the filter inserts in time when the
extraction performance decreases.
Remove any deposits from within the hous-
ing.
Clean the movable parts of the support (2)
with compressed air.
