| Trouble-free operation is guaranteed at tem-
peratures of between -10 °C and +55 °C.
| Keep the device clean and dry at all times.
The casing may be cleaned by wiping with a
damp cloth.
| The additional warning symbols and acoustic
signals issued when voltages are greater than
35 V are only intended to warn of the danger
of life-threatening voltage. They should not be
used for measurement purposes.
| Check to make sure that the warning tone can
be heard amidst the local ambient noises.
| If a permament alarm sounds when the de-
vice is switched on, immediately change the
batteries.

General points

Voltages have priority. If no voltage is detected at the probe tips (< 3.0 V),
the device is in continuous testing mode. To switch the led torch please
press the button "light".

Self testing

Hold the test leads to one another for the test. The buzzer on the test device
should sound clearly and the display should show the green "Rx/Ω". (After a
short time the instrument is automatically turned off by the "auto-power off"
function.) If the LED is blank or dimly illuminated, the batteries must be re-
placed.
If the instrument does not operate with new batteries, then it should not be
used.
