Thank you for purchasing a Out of Sight™ Extra Wide Bedrail from Summer Infant. This innovative bedrail provides safety for children
as well as convenience for parents. It is an essential piece when transitioning your child from a crib to a bed. When the bedrail is not in use,
or if you simply need easy access to the bed, fold the bedrail down and slide it under the mattress.
WARNING:
SUFFOCATION AND STRANGULATION HAZARD:
• Gaps in and around bedrails have entrapped young children and killed infants.
• NEVER use with children younger than 2 years old. Use ONLY with older children
who can get in and out of an adult bed without help. NEVER use in place of crib.
• NEVER use unless bed rail is tight against mattress, without gaps, and at least 9 inches from headboard and footboard.
Do not fill gaps will pillows, blankets or other items that can suffocate children.
• NEVER use on toddler bed, bunk bed, water bed or bed with inflatable mattress. Use ONLY on adult bed.
• USE only on adult bed with mattress and box spring or platform bed (support board 5/8 in nominal thickness).
WARNING:
ENTRAPMENT HAZARD:
• NEVER use bedrail without properly securing bedrail to bed. Incorrect installation can
allow bedrail to move away from mattress, which can lead to entrapment or death.
• Discontinue use if damaged, broken, or if parts are missing.
NOTE:
Periodically check the bedrail for tightness to ensure bedrail is snug against bed.
