Correct use
The GTE6 is a photoelectric proximity sensor for the optical, non-contact
detection of objects, animals and persons. The sender and receiver are
integrated into a single housing unit. The light beam output by the sender
is reflected by the object to be detected. The receiver evaluates the
reflected light.

> Gerät bei Inbetriebnahme vor Feuchte und Verunreinigung schützen.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die GTE6 ist ein optoelektronischer Reflexions-Lichttaster und wird zum
optischen, berührungslosen Erfassen von Sachen, Tieren und Personen
eingesetzt. Sender und Empfänger sind in einem Gehäuse untergebracht.
Der vom Sender ausgebrachte Lichtstrahl wird vom zu detektierenden
Objekt reflektiert. Der Empfänger wertet das reflektierte Licht aus.
Inbetriebnahme

Einsatzbedingungen wie Größe und Remissionsvermögen des
Objekts sowie Hintergrundeinflüsse überprüfen und mit der Empfind-
lichkeitskennlinie des entsprechenden GTE6-Typs vergleichen.
2 Nur bei den Steckerversionen:
Leitungsdose spannungsfrei aufstecken und festschrauben.
Nur bei den Versionen mit Anschlussleitung:
Für Anschluss gilt: brn = braun, blu = blau, blk = schwarz, wht = weiß.
Taster auf Objekt ausrichten. In horizontaler / vertikaler Richtung
Ein- / Ausschaltpunkt (Wechselanzeige – LED gelb) ermitteln und
Mittelstellung wählen.
Objekt entfernen und Empfindlichkeit auf „max." stellen.
Hintergrund wird nicht erkannt: Einstellung beendet.
Hintergrund wird erkannt: Empfindlichkeit reduzieren,
bis Schalt ausgang wechselt. Objekt positionieren.
Wenn Objekt nicht erkannt wird, Empfindlichkeit (Drehknopf)
Richtung „max." drehen, bis Schaltausgang wechselt.
Objekt entfernen. Schaltausgang wechselt:
Einstellung beendet.
Schaltausgang wechselt nicht: Hintergrundeinfluss zu stark.
Applikation und Einstellung überprüfen.
PNP (Last → M): Objekt wird erkannt, Ausgang (Q) HIGH
NPN (Last → L+): Objekt wird erkannt, Ausgang (Q) LOW
Montagehinweise
3 Das G6-Gehäuse kann mit den mitgelieferten Montageschrauben
fixiert werden. Maximales Anzugsdrehmoment ist der entsprechenden
Zeichnung zu entnehmen.
Wartung
SICK-Lichtschranken sind wartungsfrei.
Wir empfehlen, in regelmäßigen Abständen:
– die optischen Grenzflächen zu reinigen.
– Verschraubungen und Steckverbindungen zu überprüfen.
Veränderungen an Geräten dürfen nicht vorgenommen werden.
