MiniDV cleaning cassette
Congratulations on purchasing this quality product from HAMA.
Dirt in the video head drum is one of the main causes of
problems in picture reproduction. The HAMA‚ "MiniDV
cleaning cassette" has been developed to effectively remove
this dirt.
Please observe the following operating instructions
1. Insert "MiniDV cleaning cassette" into the playback unit or
your camcorder in the same way as a conventional MiniDV
cassette.
2. Press "PLAY" and then press "STOP" approx. 10 seconds
later.
IMPORTANT: If you let the cleaning cassette play for
longer it may have detrimental effects on the reading head.
3. Use the "RECORD" and PLAY" functions with a conventional
MiniDV cassette to check the recording quality.
IMPORTANT: In no circumstances should you use the
"MiniDV cleaning cassette" more frequently than four times
in sequence.
4. After every cleaning process place a mark on one of the
fields on the printed control field. This allows you to
monitor how many times you have already completed with
the cassette.

Please ensure that the following warnings are observed:

1. Do not rewind the "MiniDV Cleaning Cassette" after each
cleaning operation. For a new cleaning operation simply
resume at the current cleaning tape position.
2. If, after having used the "MiniDV Cleaning Cassette" three
times in succession, there is still no effect, then the
problem could have a different cause. In this case please
contact your stockist.
3. Rewind the "MiniDV Cleaning Cassette" only when the end
of the cleaning tape has been reached. (The "MiniDV
Cleaning Cassette" should only be rewound once!).
4. Do not use the "MiniDV Cleaning Cassette" for recording
and playback.
5. Only use the "MiniDV Cleaning Cassette" in the envisaged
players or camcorders with the "MiniDV" logo.
