Caution danger of burning! Do not use slices of bread which are smaller than app. 9 x 9 cm.
When removing small slices of bread, there is danger of burning fingers.
Put one slice of bread into each slot. You may also use one slot for one slice only. Do not use thick slices of
bread to avoid jamming.
The variable browning control controls the toasting time. Begin at first with medium controlling and regulate it
higher if required. Toasting time depends on the consistency, thickness and kind of bread you are using.
Switch on the appliance by pushing the push down button. The control lamps of browning control button
and stop button will illuminate.
Toast will pop up automatically when the selected browning level has been reached - the heating stops and
the toast will be lifted up. The control lamps will switch off.
Bun warmer
Buns and baguette slices are too thick for the toast slots. Use the bun warmer for buns and baguette slices.
Place the bun warmer on top of the toaster by pushing the locker to the left.
For buns and baguettes a longer toasting time is necessary.
Defrost
The DEFROST button is to defrost slices of bread and toast it. First switch on the appliance by pressing the
push down button.
Then press the DEFROST button, the control lamp in the button will illuminate. The toasting time will enlarge
for defrosting.
You may use residual heat also. If necessary repeat the process.
Reheat
The REHEAT button is to reheat slices of bread toasted and got cold already. First switch on the appliance
by pressing the push down button. Then press the REHEAT button, the control lamp next to the button will
illuminate. The toasting time will reduce for reheating.

Stop button
You may stop the toasting process at any time by pressing the STOP button (Cancel).
Caution danger of burning! For safety reason always unplug the appliance and let cool down after having
finished the toasting process and before removing the bun warmer.
Caution! Never use a fork or sharp-edged, metallic objects to get uptight pieces of bread free. This might
damage the heating element and cause danger of electric shock!
Crumb tray
To remove crumbs, pull out the crumb-tray of the appliance. We recommend to do it after each use.
Ensure to insert the crumb tray before using the toaster again.
Cleaning and storing
Caution danger of electric shock! Never immerse the appliance, cord and plug into water.
Always disconnect the appliance from power supply before cleaning to avoid risk of electrical shock.
Caution danger of burning! Always let the appliance cool down enough before cleaning and storing.
To remove crumbs slide out the crumb tray and discard crumbs. Wipe clean and replace. Never operate
the appliance without crumb tray in place. The crumb tray should be cleaned regularly.
Do not allow breadcrumbs to accumulate in the bottom of the toaster. Empty the crumb tray after each use.
To remove any pieces of bread remaining in the appliance, turn it upside down and shake gently. Never
insert any hard or sharp instrument into the slot as this could damage the appliance and cause safety
hazard. Never use metallic and sharp edged cleaning material or sharp cleaning solvents while cleaning.
Clean the housing gently with a soft slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Never store the appliance near a heating element, the housing could melt. Store it in
a dry place not reachable for children.
