This kit is designed to be used with either a new water filtration
installation requiring an icemaker connection or an existing filtration
system to add an icemaker connection.
1. Install the filtration system as detailed in the unit's installation
instructions, if it has not been done already.
2. Turn off the water supply/saddle valve to the filter. Relieve
water pressure by pressing button on sump (tank) or opening
the faucet.
3. Locate the faucet supply tube connecting the filtration unit
to the faucet. Cut the tube at a convenient location.
4. Connect the tee fitting to the two cut ends of the supply tubing
(see Fig. 1). Position plastic tube inserts, thread nuts onto fitting,
and hand tighten. If necessary, complete tightening with a wrench*.
5. Connect one end of the 20' of supplied
of the tee fitting. Position plastic tube inserts, thread nuts onto
fitting, and hand tighten. If necessary, complete tightening with
a wrench*.
