installation
backguard
There are 2 different backguards that are installed in a different way depending on the
model of your range. "Option 1" has 4 perforations in the rear bottom flange and "Op-
tion 2" has 4 or 2 perforations (depending also on the model) on the front face.
Option 1
1. Place the backguard over the rear por-
tion of the cooktop, and make sure per-
forations on both parts match.
2. Fix the backguard using two screws and
2 bolts with nuts. A screw and a bolt
with nut on each side.

1. Shut off main gas supply valve and control knobs.
2. Perform gas hookup. Use any sealer for gas connections.
3. Finally, plug in my electric cord (on models that apply).
note: Do not use extension cords other than size 12 and do not plug any other appliance
to the same outlet in order to avoid voltage variations.
caution When installing or moving this
appliance do not lean on the door's
handle.
Minimum distance from
cooktop to venting hood:
80 cm approximately.
Option 2
1. Place the backguard behind the cook-
top, making sure the range flue gets
into the "window" on the bottom of
the backguard. Note: Cooktops and
cooktops with cabinet are not equipped
with a flue.
2. Fix the backguard using two screws.
Screws must be driven through the bot-
tom perforations of the backguard and
into the cooktop.
