4.1. Before attaching any of the accessories, make sure the unit is switched off and no
steam is escaping. It is also important to make sure that all accessories have cooled
down completely before removing them. The use of heat-resistant mitts is recommen-
ded for handling the accessories, since they may be hot.
4.2. Select the accessory you need for the task you want to carry out. Use the V Cloud
Steamer® without any accessories for very delicate textiles and materials. Keep the V
Cloud Steamer® at least 4 cm away from the material.
4.3. The accessory for steam ironing is ideal for linen, wool, cotton, polyester and silk.
4.4. The accessory for creases is used for creating creases on trousers and other gar-
ments.
4.5. The textile and upholstery accessory is ideal for removing lint and hair produced by
dogs, cats and other pets.
4.6. To attach the accessory for ironing or for textiles and upholstery, line it up with
the base of the iron and press down until it is securely locked into place. To attach the
accessory for creases, fit the tab onto the base of the iron until it is securely locked
into place.
4.7. To detach the accessory for ironing or for textiles and upholstery, pull the side
tabs and remove it. To detach the accessory for creases, pull on the tab and release it.
5. FILLING WITH WATER
When filling the V Cloud Steamer® with water, make sure the appliance is switched off
and disconnected from the mains. The unit should only be filled when completely cool.
Important: this product should never be used without water.
5.1. Pour water into the measuring cup until it reaches the maximum level mark (ap-
proximately 70 ml).
5.2. Lift the water reservoir cover and fill it with the water from the measuring cup.
Make sure the reservoir is not too full. Replace the safety cover and ensure that it is
securely closed.
5.3. Before refilling the reservoir, press the steam spray button to make sure that the
unit is completely empty.
5.4. Before using or storing the unit, make sure it has cooled down and is completely
empty (see Instructions for Use).
6. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
6.1. Attach the correct accessory for the garment you wish to iron.
6.2. Fill the unit with water.
6.3. Plug the V Cloud Steamer® into the mains and check the power light is on.
6.4. Wait for approximately one minute while the unit heats up. Press the steam spray
button. This button should not be pressed continuously, since this causes a reduction in
steam pressure. Wait until the light goes off before starting to iron. When the light goes
off, the steam spray button may be pressed.
6.5. Before steam ironing the garment, carry out a test on a rag made of the same
material.
6.6. Move the V Cloud Steamer® over the garment while pressing the steam button to
ensure that the steam is sprayed evenly over the whole garment. The iron may be used
both horizontally and vertically. To guarantee good results, it is important that the iron
touches the garment lightly.
6.7. If the unit runs out of the water before you have finished ironing, leave it to cool
completely before refilling it (see Filling with Water). Never use the iron without water!
6.8. While in use, you will notice that the power light goes off and on intermittently. This
is perfectly normal and occurs because the unit is adjusting to the perfect temperature
setting required.
6.9. When you have finished using the V Cloud Steamer® iron, disconnect the unit.
Important: always disconnect the plug from the mains. Never pull the cable to switch the
appliance off. Make sure the power light is off.
For best ironing results:
- Some garments should be ironed inside out.
- V Cloud Steamer® works on almost every type of fabric, including silk, cotton, polyes-
ter and wool. Please read the care label to ensure the garment can be steam ironed.
Certain materials such as leather, suede and velvet cannot be steam ironed.
- To check that a garment can be steam ironed, iron a small area on the inside of the
garment. If no damage occurs, the whole garment can be ironed.
7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
7.1. When you have finished using the V Cloud Steamer®, make sure it is completely
disconnected before you clean it.
7.2. Wait for at least 15 minutes for the water to cool down and carefully remove the
safety cover.
7.3. Place the unit face down and let the water drain out.
7.4. The unit and accessories should only be cleaned when the unit has cooled down
completely. The cleaning brush is suitable for removing all kinds of lint from the acces-
