DC 19V jack
Connect the included AC adapter to this jack.
The AC adapter is designed specifically for the VX50 BA. Do not
use any other adapter, otherwise a malfunction may occur.
2.
Cord hook
Wrap the AC adapter cord around this hook to prevent the AC
adapter from being accidentally disconnected.
3.
DIRECT OUT jack
Connect your tuner or PA system to this jack. It will output the un-
modified sound of the instrument that's connected to the INPUT
jack.
Using a TRS plug will produce an impedance-balanced output and
reduce noise.
A TS plug can also be used; however, in this case, the output
will be unbalanced.
The equalizer knobs, GAIN knob and MASTER knob do not
affect the output.
4.
INPUT jack
Connect your bass guitar to this jack.
5.
GAIN knob
Use this knob to adjust the amount of input gain in the pre-amp.
6.
COMP switch
This switch enables the compressor circuit. This circuit adds com-
pression and sustain to the sound.
Tip
If the DRIVE switch and COMP switch are both set to ON, an
overdrive sound will be mixed with a clean, compressed bass
sound. This combination creates a uniquely distorted sound
with plenty of bass response.
The power amp limiter does not turn off, even when the COMP
switch is set to OFF.
7.
DRIVE switch
Use this switch to engage the overdrive circuit.
