Do not
•Never leave the appliance plugged in when not in use.
•Never leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the power supply, even if for a few mo-
ments, especially where children are present.
•To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a corner or against a wall or below
a wall cupboard.
•Never place the appliance below or close to easily inflammable objects (e.g. curtains, etc.).
•Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass table, tablecloth, varnished furniture,
etc.) or on a soft surface such as a tea-towel.
•Never place the appliance on or near hot or slippery surfaces; never leave the cord hanging over
a heat source (hotplates, gas stove, etc.).
•Do not place cooking utensils on the cooking surfaces of the appliance.
•Never cut food directly on the plates.
•Do not use metal scourers or scouring powders to avoid damaging the cooking surface (non-stick
coating).
•Do not heat the appliance in vertical position.
•Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance: use the handles.
•Do not use the appliance empty.

•Place your appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
•To clean the plates, open the appliance using the lid closing latch (3) - C.
•Close the appliance - D.
•Plug the cord into the mains - E : the red light will light up (1) - F.
•Allow the appliance to pre-heat - G : the green light will light up (2) showing that the appliance
is ready to use - H.
•The green light goes out and lights up again regularly during the cooking process, to show that
the temperature is maintained.
