Carefully read and follow all safety instructions in this manual or on
pump.
This is the safety alert symbol. When you see this symbol on
your pump or in this manual, look for one of the following sig-
nal words and be alert to the potential for personal injury!
DANGER warns about hazards that will cause seri-
ous personal injury, death or major property damage if ignored.
WARNING warns about hazards that can cause seri-
ous personal injury, death or major property damage if ignored.
CAUTION warns about hazards that will or can
cause minor personal injury or property damage if ignored.
The word NOTICE indicates special instructions which are important
but not related to hazards.
1. To avoid risk of serious bodily injury and property damage, read
the safety instructions carefully before installing this switch.
2. Follow local and/or national plumbing and electrical codes when
installing switch.
Hazardous Voltage. Can shock, burn, cause
death, or start fires.
3. Disconnect the electrical power source before installing or work-
ing on pump or switch.
4. Plug pump and switch into a GFCI protected, grounded electrical
outlet only .
Risk of Flooding. Make sure the plastic pin
holds the float rod into the switch housing; otherwise the pump
will not shut off.
INSTALLATION
For Key Numbers refer to the Exploded View.
1. Remove the pump handle screws.
2. Place the switch bracket assembly (Key No. 1) on the pump as
shown in Figure 1.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTICE: Be sure to align the switch bracket handle with the
screw holes.
3. Mount the switch assembly onto the pump with the screws you
removed in Step 1. Make sure that nothing interferes with switch
operation.
4. Mount the ball float (Key No. 3) onto the float switch rod (Key
No. 2) .
5. Push the Rod Stop (Key No. 4) over the end of the rod until it is
flush with the end of the float switch rod.
6. Place the magnetic end of the float rod into the bottom of the
switch housing.
7. Fasten the rod into the switch housing by carefully pressing the
plastic pin (Key No. 5) into both of the holes in the float rod
bracket.
8. Run the pump through one complete cycle to verify the correct
switch operation.
9. Insert the pump plug into the back of the switch piggyback plug
and the piggy back plug into a properly grounded outlet. See
Figure 2.
